Today our colleague Ruurd van Schaik will be giving a presentation at the Biogaz Europe exhibition in Rennes, France. The exhibition is on ‘how we deal with biogas’. Looking at which methods can best be used as a sustainable energy source. Ruurd is presenting our concept of the Bio-HUB. A concept that we have rolled out several times in the Netherlands. In a Bio-HUB, each participating farmer has its own manure digester connected to other manure digesters by a biogas pipeline. These manure digesters supply biogas to one central biogas processing plant. The advantage of one central biogas processing is cost savings on maintenance, consumables, installation costs and by upscaling. We are proud that Ruurd can present the Bio-HUB concept at the exhibition on behalf of CCS.
