Our team members from Energy CheckUp were pleased to participate in the CFP Green Buildings 2018 conference on the 13th of September 2018:
During the plenary lectures we were greatly inspired by different speakers.
Philosopher Ruud Veltenaar brought awkward truths with a good dose of humor in his brilliant lecture. Katja Schuurman then showed that it is possible to treat small-scale producers of sustainable products fairly with her company Return to Sender. Ezekiel Ole Katato, a chief of the Maasai, called on our leaders to take their responsibility and make future-proof choices.
Finally, the business woman of the year, Aukje Kuypers, spoke about which choices she made within the installation company Kuijpers (of which she is the president) to contribute to the energy transition.
The pitch contest called the “Green Buildings Innovation Challenge” offered us a great opportunity to present the new developments and future vision of our online energy scan. Moreover, during the competition we were able to meet a large number of innovative companies that are ready to change our world!
Our cordial congratulations to the innovative company Phi Accelerator for winning the pitch competition. Their idea to stimulate behavioral change by saving through a “serious game” was rightly judged as excellent.
