Digital learning environment on sustainable energy

The Erasmus+ project PLANET is a European project concerning education on sustainable energy. The aim of the project is to create a learning environment where professionals can sharpen their knowledge on different topics. The lessons are not only intended for, for example, maintenance staff of installations that generate renewable energy. The platform is also intended for people who want to purchase such an installation. Students who want to learn more in order to increase their employability are also welcome.

PLANET is a three-year project that will be completed at the end of 2020. That is why we are proud that the online platform is currently in the testing phase. Once the tests have been completed, we will have built a learning environment that contains an awful lot of information, and which people can easily use from home. As part of this test phase, CCS Energie-advies is busy supplementing the Dutch content and organising a first round of courses.

Different topics

The platform covers a number of different topics. There is the possibility to choose an IT course. This course is a kind of basic course that teaches people to use application programs and IT communication tools efficiently. The substantive courses consist of a course on biomass, a course on biogas and two courses on solar energy. Both solar thermal energy and solar PV are covered. Of course, there is also an introductory module, so that users not only know what to do, but also know what PLANET stands for. Currently, users can follow all courses online.

We hope that the tests go well, so that we can go live with the learning environment as soon as possible. A successful platform ensures that working people in the agricultural sector have the opportunity to learn more about sustainable energy and the installations that go with it. For farmers who want to invest in sustainable energy, this platform is a great opportunity! If you are interested in PLANET, please contact us.
