Energy Efficiency Directive (EED): help and advice from CCS Energie-advies

The EED, or Energy Efficiency Directive, is an obligation for large companies to comply with the European directive on energy saving. By a large company we mean an organization with more than 250 employees or an annual turnover of more than € 50 million and a balance sheet total of € 43 million.

The EED obligates companies to carry out an energy audit every four years. These audits provide insight into the energy consumption and subsequently what measures can be taken to save energy. This is controlled by environmental services. If they do not comply with the agreements, they impose fines.

Tactus Verslavingszorg is an institution to which the EED applies. Tactus Verslavingszorg offers help with advice to young people and adults for any form of addiction, also in combination with other problems. Tactus Verslavingszorg is committed to sustainability and has enabled CCS Energie-advies to help meet the EED legislation.

CCS Energy advice requests a pre-recommendation from the national core team EED of environmental services, which is focused on three points:

  1. Preparing an energy balance for the annual energy use and a schematic overview of all existing energy flows (including transport).
  2. An overview of all relevant recognized measures (whereby the relevance has to be determined on the basis of the reference situation, and the technical and economic conditions mentioned in the approved list of measures).
  3. An overview of possible cost-effective energy saving measures in the area of transport management.

Based on the energy audit at several locations of Tactus Verslavingszorg, CCS Energie-advies makes a reports based on the substantive expression on the three points mentioned before. In December these will be delivered to the environmental services. With this, CCS Energie-advies provides insight into energy consumption and shows which energy-saving measures can be taken. Which Tactus will pay back within five years. In addition, CCS ensures that Tactus Verslavingszorg timely complies with the EED legislation and prevents fines from being imposed.

Is your organization, just as Tactus Verslavingszorg, a large organization? Do you have more than 250 employees or an annual turnover of € 50 million and a balance sheet total of € 43 million? Then you belong to the group that has to comply with the Energy Efficiency Directive. Let CCS Energie-advies help your organization. This provides you insight into your energy consumption, prevents fines and you save a lot of energy for your organization!
