Advice optimizing cooling circuit
A Dutch company with a production site in Germany, approached CCS Energie-advies to optimize the cooling circuit of their production site. A great challenge! The factory is faced with rising temperatures of the cooling circuit. The processing time becomes longer, which leads to (unnecessary) loss of production volume. CCS Energie-advies was flown in to analyze the installed cooling capacity and the cold demand of the processes and to present an advice plan with possible solutions based on these outcomes.
CCS Energie-advies advises on the basis of expert calculations, to ultimately offer three possible solutions. In addition to the standard solution, CCS Energie-advies provides an innovative recommendation in which economy, sustainability and efficiency come first.
In this company’s case, installing extra cooling capacity proved to be a logical, but unnecessarily expensive solution. CCS Energie-advies advised to install a heat pump or a separate low temperature circuit for cooling. A heat pump does not only solve the cooling problem, but it also realizes a significant saving on the energy consumption.
